+HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL PROFILE: ALBERT ARISMENDI
Albert Arismendi is the new principal of Mathis High School. Mr. Arismendi completed his studies and earned his Bachelor of Science and his Masters in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
Prior to Mathis ISD, Mr. Arismendi has served in leadership roles as the Principal of Sinton High School, and as Assistant Principal of Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi ISD, where he is a tiger alumni. Mr. Arismendi's career in education includes teaching and coaching at all levels of education.
Mr. Arismendi enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Mr. Arismendi is an active member in the community where he volunteers his time to coach boys and girls basketball teams.
“My goal is to support the faculty and staff of Mathis High School to provide students a first class education which will enable them to reach their personal and professional goals. Ultimately, I want all students to be a reflection of this great community and become productive members of society.”
Valerie Robertson is in her second year as a campus principal at Mathis High School. Ms. Robertson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in addition to two Masters degrees in Educational Technology and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University-Lubbock, Texas.
Prior to being the principal at Mathis High School Ms. Robertson served as an Assistant Principal at Manor High School for four years. Ms. Robertson’s career in education includes teaching at all levels and working with adults to gain computer literacy. Ms. Robertson enjoys spending time with family and gardening in her free time.
