Tim Norman



Mr. Tim Norman became Mathis ISD's superintendent on    February 15, 2022.  He brought over 7 years of superintendent    experience having served at Chireno ISD and most recently Hubbard ISD. He has been an educator for over 20 years. In those 20 years, he has served as a teacher, coach, testing coordinator, and for the past seventeen years has been in administration.

Mr. Norman received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and also his Superintendent Certification. 

He has three daughters, Caroline, Madeline, and Alexandra. His wife, Summer, is a school counselor.

Mr. Norman's passion is to grow and foster programs and to create individual learning opportunities and experiences for all students. He prides myself on transparency, communication, and presenting the district's mission, vision, and goals.  He believes in building and maintaining relationships, collaborative leadership, strategic planning, empowering educators, and community involvement.  

As superintendent, his goal is to impact school culture and educational programs conducive to student learning and development. He seeks to promote positive relationships, student and faculty teamwork, and cooperation in the school and communal environment.
