Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4th through the 8th and we would normally recognize our teachers with little goodies & treats throughout the week and cap it off with a campus luncheon. This year, Teacher Appreciation Week will be like no other. Despite the difficulties we have faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, it will not stop us from expressing our utmost sincere appreciation and thanks for what you have been doing throughout the year.
Our students have not been in class since March 13th; yet, you continue to teach and work with our students to provide a quality education. These actions speak to the character, dedication, passion, and pride of our teachers. Teachers don’t just teach children. They help prepare kids for the road ahead in life. Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions.
There is a Japanese proverb that says, “Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher.” I’m anticipating the day our students return to class and learning begins in the presence of our Great Teachers!
From the Team of Eight, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for everything you do for the students of MISD.
